Pea gravel!

This winter has been milder than ever before! We have lots of mud on the track and I am preparing a plan to add pea gravel this spring. We'll have to add some tile for better drainage and then scrape off the top layer and put in pea gravel. I'll have a test area first.
I have put some pea gravel around the water trough, on top of a tarp, just to see how they like it: well, they love standing on the pea gravel! It's like getting a foot massage!
So we are collecting information right now, from people who have done this in the same climate as we have in Ohio. Very interesting. We will add pictures as we progress in the project!
